The Purpose: Why we did it

We set out with clinical research to prove the efficacy of TropiClean Fresh Breath made easy! with a focus on two outcomes. 1) To remove existing plaque and tartar build up. 2) Retard plaque and tartar development.

Our hope in this research was to validate countless customer reviews of the Fresh Breath Clean Teeth Gel showing the product can improve pets’ oral health without brushing. Using natural ingredients and a simple application, our Fresh Breath Gel is proven to be a safe and effective at home solution for pet owners dental care needs.

The Clinical: How we did it

The study organized three groups of participants into small, medium and large dogs based on weight. Each dog was scored for plaque using the leading research techniques of Silness-Loe and Quigley & Hein Turesky modification. For tartar scores researchers used the Green & Vermillion technique. Pre-trial examination revealed that each group of dogs suffered from medium to excessive plaque and tartar scores. Following the scoring process, participants were assigned to a control group, which received no oral care treatment, and a trial group, which received Fresh Breath oral care treatment.

The Treatment: How we helped these dogs

Each dog was treated six days per week by applying the product from the applicator tip directly to the buccal portion of the teeth. Adhering to the product directions, food and water were withheld for 30 minutes before and after the product was administered.

The Observations: What the Doctors say

[Tropiclean] “At the onset of the clinical study, we knew our Fresh Breath products would perform well. However, we had no idea how much our expectations would be out performed.”
[Veterinarian] In just two months the trial revealed that the treated dogs, originally scoring with medium to excessive plaque and tartar, showed a decrease in plaque and tartar of 43%! With only Fresh Breath Clean Teeth Gel being used to treat the pets’ dental needs, nearly half of the plaque and tartar was removed. Marvin Sharp, D.V.M. went on to say within the results of the study that, “With this kind of reduction on severe cases, one would [expect] that on a clean tooth, these products would arrest the development of plaque and tartar. TropiClean Fresh Breath has the ability to reduce plaque and tartar on dogs with severe cases of both.”

The Results: Why you should choose TropiClean

At the conclusion of the clinical study, all data was compiled and analyzed by Dr. Sara Hamon, Ph.D.

  • The data concluded that plaque and tartar were reduced by 43%. “The analysis revealed a highly statistically significant difference in tartar levels between the treatment and control group after only two weeks of treatment,” said Dr. Hamon in her report.
  • Dr. Marvin Sharp, DVM, also noted while the dogs were under his care and supervision that, “During the study there were also no signs of toxicity observed at any time following treatment.”
  • Oral disease is not only the most common disease among dogs and cats but can lead to many serious health problems. These clinical trials show that there is now a safe, natural and effective solution for oral care in the home. “TropiClean Fresh Breath has the ability to reduce plaque and tartar on dogs with severe cases of both,” Dr. Marvin Sharp.
